Pūhoro Charitable Trust is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning and delivery of national and regional events that support rangatahi Māori on their STEMM journey. This is a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, culturally grounded experiences that celebrate Māori excellence in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and mātauranga Māori (STEMM).

Operating across 13 regions in Aotearoa, we support over 2,000 rangatahi Māori through innovative programmes, strategic partnerships, and cultural empowerment. Our mission is to drive meaningful change in the STEMM landscape, ensuring rangatahi thrive and lead in the sector.
The Role
We are looking for a highly organised, kaupapa-driven Events Manager to take responsibility for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of Pūhoro’s events programme. Key responsibilities include:

Position Details
Location: Auckland, Hamilton, or Wellington (preferred) - we are also interested in hearing from qualified applicants outside of these regions.
Reporting to: Manager, Events
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary Band: Step 4 ($62,500 - $83,000)
