In 2020, Pūhoro partnered with High Value Nutrition on a four year term.

Our mission to raise participation and achievement of Māori students in STEM and enable Māori to meet future workforce demands in STEM industries aligned well with that of High Value Nutrition (HVN).

The mission of HVN to grow science excellence and the knowledge Aotearoa New Zealand needs, to create and deliver food to the world that people choose to stay healthy and well also aligned positively towards a clear partnership with Pūhoro.

This national partnership consolidated and strengthened opportunities for rangatahi in the Pūhoro kaupapa by gaining insights into the world-leading innovations in this sector.

Through HVN support, rangatahi were able to participate in Summer Internships which connected to the research areas and projects within the High Value Nutrition sector.
